Phyllo Sheets: 1 Package
Chopped assorted nuts : 1 Cup
Melted Butter : 1/4 Cup
Sugar: 1 Cup
Water: 1 Cup
Lemon zest:  1/2 lemon
Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon: 1/4 teaspoon

To get the stuffing ready, mix the assorted nuts (Pistachios, cashews, walnuts,dates) wth cinnamon powder. Keep this aside.
Now,unroll the phyllo sheets. Cut it into half.
Dust the baking pan with plain flour. Spread two  phyllo sheets onto the pan. Butter it thoroughly with a brush. Spread another two sheets followed by butter spread. Repeat this process until you have eight sheets layered. Now sprinkle 4 tablespoon of nuts over the phyllo sheet. Top it with two phyllo sheets, butter and nuts. Keep layering until you have the top layer with 6-8 sheets. Cut it into squares with the help of a sharp knife.
Preheat the oven to 350F. Bake it for 45 minutes till the baklava is golden crisp.

Meanwhile, heat one cup of water and sugar in a deep pan. Cook it till it reaches a string like consistency. Turn off the heat. Add vanilla extract and freshly grated lemon zest.

Take the baklava off the oven and pour the sugar syrup over it.
Allow it to cool and serve it at room temperature,
Garnish it some chopped nuts before serving.
Delicious Baklava is ready to eat.
