Kadahi Paneer

Baby Onions: 3-4
Green Chillies: 2
Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 Tablespoon
Butter: 1 cube (approx 2 inch )
Capsicum: 2
Paneer: 250 gms ( cut into bite sized cubes)
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds: 1 tablespoon
Fennel seeds: 1 tablespoon
Black peppercorns: 1/2 teaspoon
Green cardamom: 3-4
Coriander seeds: 1 tablespoon
Onion: 1( large)
Tomatoes: 2( large)

Method: Dry roast all the seeds for the masala in a pan till it turns light brown.
Take the seeds off the pan and allow it to cool. Grind it to a smooth powder in a blender.

In the same pan, take 2 tablespoon of oil. Add the finely chopped onions to it. Allow the onions to get a little charred. Add tomatoes and let it cook for 5-6 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the onion tomato mix cool a bit. In a blender, grind the onion tomato mix along with the powdered spices.  Your kadahi paneer masala is ready.

Now, cut baby onions and capsicum in squares. Slit green chilies from the center.
In a kadahi (wok) take butter. Allow it to heat. Add ginger garlic paste and green chilis. Add sliced onions. Once the onions start turning golden brown , add capsicum. Toss the veggies for a minute or two. Add the kadahi paneer masala that we made before.
Saute it well. Add half cup of water. Let the gravy simmer a little bit. Add salt as per your taste.
Add the paneer cubes and saute it .
Turn off the heat and transfer the ready curry to a serving platter.

Your Kadahi Paneer is ready to eat.
Serve it hot with roti or steamed rice.
