Bajre ki Roti


Millet Flour (Bajra): 2 Cup
Wheat flour: 1 Cup
Warm water: for kneading
Desi Ghee (Clarified butter)

 Take millet flour and wheat flour in a deep bowl and sift it well. Gradually add water to knead it to a smooth dough.
Pre heat the tawa (griddle) on the stove and meanwhile take a ball sized dough and roll it out to a thick circle of approximately six inch diameter. Cook the rolled out circle on the tawa. Flip it over and cook on the other side. If you would like, flip it back and press it gently with a dry cloth to puff it up.
Bring it off the tawa and smear half a tablespoon of ghee over it.

Your bajre ki roti is ready to eat. Serve it with any curry of your choice along with sliced onion and green chilli to add more rustic taste to the meal.
