Paneer Pakoda


Paneer: 250 Gms
Gram Flour (Besan ): 1 Cup
Semolina (Sooji): 2 tablespoon
Garam Masala powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chilli powder:  1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Amchoor Powder ( raw mango powder) : 1/4 teaspoon

Salt to taste
Water : 1/2 Cup
Mustard Oil for Frying

 To prepare the batter, take gram flour in a deep bowl. Add garam masala, red chilli,turmeric, amchoor, semolina and salt. Mix the dry ingredients well. Add water gradually and keep stirring in between so that no lumps are formed. Batter should be of thick consistency and not too runny. Adjust the quantity of water accordingly.
Meanwhile, cut paneer into 2-3 inch squares.

Pre heat mustard oil in a deep pan. Dip each paneer pieces in the batter and deep fry in the oil till golden brown.Drain the deep fried paneer pieces on a paper towel to remove any excess oil. Dust some chat masala and red chilli powder on padokas.
Serve it hot with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
