Besan Masala Roti


For the Dough:
Besan( Gram Flour): 2 Cups
Fresh Yoghurt: 1/2 Cup
Asaftida: Pinch
Oil: 4 Tablespoon
Onion:  1 small( Finely chopped)
Green Chilli: 1( Chopped)
Cumin Powder: 1 Teaspoon

Coriander Powder: 1 Teaspoon
Raw mango powder :  1/4 Teaspoon
Salt to taste

Rice flour : 1/2 Cup for dusting
Pure Ghee for cooking

Bring all the dough ingredients in a deep bowl. Mix it well. Add yoghurt and oil and knead it. Gradually add little water to form a soft dough.  Cover it with a damp cloth and allow it to rest for half an hour.

Meanwhile, heat the griddle. Take a ball sized dough and roll it out to form a thick 4-5 inch circle.
Dust it with rice flour if you find it sticking to your rolling plate.
Put the rolled out dough on the griddle. Drizzle a tablespoon of pure ghee on both the sides and cook it till it turns golden brown.

Bring it off the pan and repeat the process for the rest of the dough.

Serve it hot with raita, pickle and any curry of your choice.
