Stuffed Bread Pakora


Bread Slices: 8
Oil for Frying

For the Stuffing:
Boiled Potatoes: 8
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Chopped Onion: 1/2 Cup
Green Chilli: 1
Grated Ginger: 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala: 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
Chopped Coriander leaves: handful
Oil: 2 Tablespoon.
Salt: to taste

For the Batter:
Gram Flour (Besan): 1 Cup
Semolina (Sooji): 2 Tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Kasoori methi: 2 Table Spoon
Turmeric Powder: Pinch
Water: 1/2 Cup of more

Take 2 tablespoon oil in a shallow pan. Allow it to heat. Add cumin seeds, chopped onions, grated ginger and green chilliStir fry the ingredients till onions turn translucent. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder , lemon juice and salt. Stir it. Add boiled potatoes. With the help of the potato masher, mash the potatoes. Toss it 2-3 times so that the ingredients mix well.
 Turn off the heat and bring the stuffing off the pan. Allow it to cool. Keep it aside.

To prepare the batter, take a separate deep bowl and add the batter ingredients in it. Add little water and mix it well. Whisk it with a fork such that no lumps are formed. Add more water , if required. The batter should be of thick consistency and not too runny.

Take a bread slice, spread the potato stuffing on the top of the bread. Cover it with another bread slice. Press it with your palm so that the ingredients gets sealed and do not fall off. Cut the sandwich into a triangle. Dip each triangle in the gram flour batter and deep fry it in a pre heated oil on a medium heat.

Drain it on a paper towel to remove any excess oil. Your stuffed bread pakoras are ready to eat.
Serve it hot with green chutney or ketchup of your choice.
