Marble Cake

 Chocolate and Vanilla cake batter swirled together to get a marble effect. This cake is perfect for your tea time snacks.

Ingredients:

Plain Flour: 2 Cups
Baking Powder: 2 Tablespoon
Salt: Pinch
Unsalted Butter: 1/2 Cup
Confections Sugar: 1 Cup
Cocoa Powder: 3 tablespoon
Vanilla Essence: 1 tablespoon
Eggs: 2
Milk: 1/2 Cup


Method:
Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and butter until the ingredients blend well. Add eggs , one at a time and whisk it with a electric mixer until it forms soft white peaks. At this stage, you can add vanilla essence and milk.Next, add flour mix to the whipped eggs and whisk it for another 3-4 minutes until all the ingredients have combined well.
Remove about 1/2 of the the above batter and add cocoa powder to it. Mix it well.

Now grease the cake pan and dust some flour on it.
Pour a ladleful of chocolate batter followed by vanilla one. Run and twist a spoon through the batter such that it gets a marbled effect.
Bake it in a pre heated oven at 190 C for 40 minutes or till the toothpick comes out clean from the cake.
Remove the cake from the pan and allow it to cool before serving.
