Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno Poppers


Jalapeno: 8
Cheddar Cheese: 100 gms
Cream Cheese; 2 tablespoon
Oregano: Pinch
Plain Flour: 1/2 Cup
Bread Crumbs: 1 Cup
Oil for Deep frying
Water :1/2 Cup
Salt and freshly ground Black pepper- to taste


Take flour, salt and black pepper in a deep bowl. Add water and mix it. Make a smooth runny batter.
Slit Jalapenos lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds.
Meanwhile, grate cheddar cheese. Mix the grated cheddar cheese with cream cheese. Add oregano to the mixture. This is your stuffing.
Take a spoonful of stuffing and put inside the slit jalapenos. Dip it in the flour batter. Roll it onto the bread crumbs.
Repeat the process for the rest of the Jalapenos.
Deep fry the jalapenos in a preheated oil.
Drain them on the paper towel to remove any excess oil.

Serve it hot with any sauce of your choice. Marinara sauce goes well with this.
