Moong Dal Chilla

(Herbed lentil crepes)
Moong Dal Chilla for weekend breakfast !! This herbed lentil crepes is packed with protein and is high on energy so all that running around over the weekend doesn't leave you exhausted !!
Yellow Moong Dal: 1 cup
Ginger paste: 1/2 tablespoon
Onion: 1 small
Coriander leaves: handful
Green Chilli: 1 (optional)
Asaftida: pinch
Cumin Seeds: 1/4 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil : 1/2 cup

Soak Moong dal for 2-3 hours.Grind it in a blender to make a smooth paste. Add chopped onions,coriander leaves,cumin seeds.ginger paste,asaftida,green chilli and salt. Add some water if the batter is too thick. The batter should have a pourable consistency.
On a pre-heated non stick flat pan, drizzle a tablespoon of oil. Let it heat. Now pour a ladle full of batter and spread it on the pan. Let it cook for a minute and then flip it over. Cook it on the other side till it turns golden brown. Bring it off the pan and repeat the same process for the remaining batter.
Your Moong dal chilla is ready to eat.
Serve it with Green chutney or any accompaniment of your choice.
