Palak Poori

(Deep fried wheat flour based spinach bread-Indian Style)
Sunday brunch special-crispy,golden,deep fried Palak Pooris.

Ingredients:
Wheat Flour: 2 cup
Semolina (Sooji) : ¼ cup
Spinach:  ½ kg
Yogurt: ¼ cup
 Black Cumin (Kalonji) : ¼ tablespoon
Carom seeds (Ajwain): ¼ tablespoon
Water :1 cup( for kneading the dough)
Salt and Red chilli powder: as per taste
Oil for frying

Method:
Wash and blanch spinach. Puree it in a blender to make smooth paste.
Take wheat flour,sooji, kalonji,ajwain,salt and red chilli powder in a large bowl. Mix it well. Add yogurt and spinach puree and bind the ingredients with the fingers. Add little water to make smooth dough.
Take Oil in a kadhai( wok). Let it heat.
Meanwhile, take small chunks of the dough and roll it out with the help of rolling pin to make 5 inches discs. Deep fry them in hot oil. Once they start puffing, take them out and drain them on paper towel.
Your Palak Pooris are ready to eat.
Serve it hot with any curry and pickle of your choice.
