(Pan cooked flat bread-Indian Style )
Plain Flour: 1 cup
Wheat flour: 1 cup
Baking powder: 1 tablespoon
Dried Yeast: 1 tablespoon
Yoghurt: 2 tablepoon
Salt: ¼ tablespoon
Sugar: ½ tablespoon
Oil: 2 tablespoon
Water: 2 cups
Method: Dissolve dried yeast in a half glass of warm water. This should take around 8-10 minutes. Mix all the dry ingredients. Add oil, yogurt, yeast and water and knead to make smooth dough.
Let the dough sit for 2 hours for it to rise. Cover with a damp cloth.
Take ball sized dough and roll into a disc shaped rounds. It should be little thick.Put it on the pre-heated griddle on the stove top and cook it. Flip it over and cook it on the other side.
Your Kulchas are ready to eat. You can serve it hot or keep it in aluminum foil to be eaten later.
