Project Modak successfully executed !! Results can be seen here
Rice Flour: 1 cup
Water: 1 cup
Ghee: ½ tablespoon
Oil: 1 tablespoon
Salt: pinch
For the stuffing:
Jaggery: ¼ cup(grated)
Coconut: ¼ cup(grated)
Crushed green cardamom: pinch

Boil water in a pan. Add ghee, oil and salt. Add rice flour and mix it well so that no lumps are formed. Bring it off the pan and knead it to make smooth dough. Cover it with a damp cloth.
For the stuffing:  In a non stick pan, take jaggery and let it melt and then add grated coconut.sprinkle crushed cardamom.
Now take a ball sized dough, flatten it on your palm to make a small poori sized disc. Now put a teaspoon of stuffing in the centre  and fold all the egdes together and close it at the top with a tapering end.. You can add some design to your modak at this stage. If the top part of the modak seems too thick, remove the extra dough.
Now place all your modaks in the steamer and steam it for 10-15 minutes.
The yummy modaks are ready to be served !!
