Kesar Badam Milk (Thandai)

(Milk flavored with saffron,almonds and fennel seeds)
Low fat Milk: 1 liter
Water: 250 ml
Powdered Sugar:8 tablespoons
Saffron: 7-8 strands
Almonds: 6-7
Fennel Seeds: 1 tablespoon
Green Cardamom: 3
Poppy Seeds (khas khas): 1 tablespoon

Method: Bring milk to a boil in a deep pan .Turn off the heat and let the milk cool. Take 5 tablespoon of this warmed milk and soak saffron strands in it.In a separate bowl, soak almonds, green cardamom, poppy seeds and fennel seeds in water for around 2-3 hours.
Make a fine paste of almonds, green cardamom, poppy seeds and fennel seeds. Mix water(250 ml)  to the milk and add sugar to it. Stir in the almond and seeds paste. Add the saffron milk to this.
Allow this to chill in the refrigerator for around 2 hours.
Garnish it with saffron strands before serving.
Your Kesar badam Milk (Thandai) is ready to drink!!

NOTE:  Put almond and seeds paste in a hot milk and there you have hot kesar badam milk ready. Enjoy the way you like it !!
