Spaghetti: 1 pack
Tomatoes: 8-10(fully ripe)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil: 2 tablespoon
Salt: to taste
Sugar: 1 tablespoon
Black pepper: ¼ tablespoon
Oregano: 1/4 tablespoon
Crushed chilli flakes: pinch
Garlic (minced): 1 tablespoon
Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Basil Leaves (for decorative touch)
Method: Bring the tomatoes to boil in a large pot till it is tender. Take out the tomatoes and peel off the skin. Crush them with the help of potato masher.
In a separate pan, add oil. Add minced garlic and tomatoes. Add salt,sugar,black pepper and oregano. Cover it with a lid and let it simmer on low flame for around 10-15 minutes. Your marinara sauce is ready.
Meanwhile, boil spaghetti till al-dente. Strain it out and put it on a plate. Pour a ladle full of marinara sauce on top of the spaghtetti. Dust some parmesan cheese, if you desire.
Your Spaghetti with Marinara sauce is ready to eat.
Note: Marinara sauce can be stored in an air tight container and kept in refrigerator to be used within a week’s time.
